| Karina was a nutty (still currently) fourteen year old, who was very big into athletics and PC games. Each summer, her parents enrolled her into Chinese school to study Cantonese, but she actually spent more time playing than learning (shh, it’s her own little secret). This is where she met the love of her life, Eddy.
He caught her eye in a strange way, not so much of an instant attraction, but more of a very peculiar guy who she ended up finding joy in picking on. Handball was a very popular sport back then during their time, which they had played in the school gym. She would purposely whack the ball really hard against his back.
She enjoyed picking on him and laughing at his reaction, as he looked clueless each time. Never did she admit or acknowledge, there was something that had strongly attracted her to him. Little did she know, this was how it all began.
As insane and giggly as this girl always was, she was the type to listen to her friends and was there for them. However, she wasn’t big on opening up to people, but this all changed the moment Eddy had stepped into her life. It was magical, she opened her heart and he was always there, patiently listening, but most importantly, he truly understood and knew what to say.
With the rough patches (what’s life without them?), there were the incredible, fun moments. She loved to play Starcraft & Counter Strike, and had discovered Eddy also enjoyed to as well. They spent endless hours playing together, and giving each other no mercy when they were on opposing teams. They’d stay up all night in front of the computer, while talking on the phone, as their parents had thought they lost their minds, wasting time on gaming.
To this day, she still spends countless hours either working out or picking up on a new sport, while occasionally playing games. They still do everything together, where some people might find it odd, but they grew up with each other at a very young age and enjoyed every moment with each other. Who’s to judge, love is unique and special for each individual, as long as you’re truly happy that’s that counts in the end of the day. |
