I was introduced to Julia in 2010, through her mom Barb, she was convinced that I just had to meet her daughter Julie and that we would become instant friends. Sure enough, we shared many things in common: shopping, make up, bachelor shows, the lists goes on. Our friendship grew closer a few years later though. She was one of many that lifted me up through a difficult time in my life. Her positive outlook on life and constant laughter lifted my spirits. Soon we were enjoying double dates. A few months later Jared lived with Julie and her husband upon arrivial to CR. She has been there for us both throught our journey. She has a tender soul, witty personality, and always game to start a dance party. I don't know what I would do without her. I was honored when she said yes to be next to me. Thank you for always being there for me!
Andrew has been my brother for just over 31 years now, and he's done a real bang-up job! Though our interests in life are about as opposite as it gets, Andrew and I have always had the bond of brotherhood. All of the cliche stories of big brother picking on little brother hold true with us as they have for many others. He is my go-to for any trivia questions relating to movies or music, or if I just need a laugh.
Andrew has been living in NYC for most of his adult life, the more recent years of which have been with his wife, Chelsea. Though distance kept us apart, Andrew and Chelsea were always hospitable if I were coming down for a visit, or if I just happened to be in the area and they had some free time on their hands to meet up quick.
I was honored when he asked me to be a Co-Best Man for his big day, and was excited he accepted my offer for him to be the same at mine. We are looking forward to his wit and humor to add to the atmosphere that Sarah and I are anticipating for our wedding!
Joe and I didn't always start out as the best of friends. He came to Shaker High School for freshman year from the "other side of the tracks" (Watervliet, NY). As a star athlete, Joe had a lot to be jealous of and we didn't immediately hit it off. Not to mention the fact that I knew of Joe Bel because he "dated" my elementary crush years prior. It was a good thing I was the better looking of the two of us, or there would have been no shot at friendship! All things considered I figured he seemed like a nice enough kid so I gave him a chance - the rest is history. I literally owe my life to him on a couple of occasions, and he was always a voice of reason growing up. Throughout college he was a role model and someone I was proud to call a best friend. His mom and step-dad, Nancy and Dave Young, are also very near and dear to me as well, and were a positive influence on my life. I was expecting nothing less when I asked Joe if he would Co-Best Man my wedding with my brother, Andrew. He responded immediately that he would be honored. I'm greatful for a friend like you, Joe!
