Guy and Yvette attended John Burroughs Elementary school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They were in seperate classes but Guy claims he had his eye on the snaggle tooth first grader known as Tootie. Yvette was oblivious to his admiration. 

Their paths crossed again as adults at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport. Living hurried professional lives only allowed them to say hi, exchange business cards, and keep it moving. As adults, they knew very little about each, but shared many mutual friends.  

Their first real adult conversation occured when Guy invited Yvette out for a glass of wine. Yvette had another engagement planned (girls night at cousin Cynthia's house) but decided that she would take him up on his offer without any real awareness of his interest, the possibilities, or the core of the man she had only heard about over the years. This invitation for a one-and-done glass of wine turned into hours of laughter and great conversation.

Yvette and Guy have different versions regarding their first date and their journey towards marriage. But who really cares how we find true love? They are partners now--prepared to take the roller coaster of life with God leading the way.
