Justin and Jessica met in high school and quickly became friends. They remained close friends all throughout high school, even at long distance. Once in colllege, their friendship blossomed into a relationship that they maintained as a long-distance relationship while Justin studied at Morgan State University and Jessica studied at Florida State University.

Fast forward to 2013, when Justin decided to close the gap and move to Orlando, FL where Jessica was attending graduate school. After Jessica graduated, the couple moved to Atlanta in 2018 to pursue their careers as a chef and scientist. 

Justin popped the question soon after moving to Atlanta in front of thousands at the 2018 Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl in Mercedes Benz Stadium.
