Mikey and I met 3 years ago through mutual friends. I was trying my hardest to set him up with my cousin but I guess God had other plans! We have now been dating for 2 ½ years and could not imagine life without each other. We both have the same temperament which could be bad but we’re both so laid back it actually works in our favor. If you know us well then you know what I’m talking about. We love to just pick on each other! We recently bought a new home together in Troup, TX. Mikey enjoys working on his trucks and has pride in his yard and I enjoy working on the house and have pride in what little decorative skills I have but unlike him I prefer to work in the air conditioning! On February 26th I had gone out for a night with my girls and came home to a glass of wine & FINALLY watched Mikey get that knee dirty ;) it took long enough but he finally proposed. I’m just teasing but seriously his mom was way past ready for this engagement!! Both of our parents had been telling us since about the first month of us dating how perfect we were for each other & just knew we would get married one day. And of course our friends have seen us go through some rough past relationships so they have always been so very happy that we found each other. Needless to say everyone is happily standing behind us in our decision to get married and that is very important to both of us. So here goes….to the beginning of the rest of our lives together :)

I have been attending Central Baptist Church in Tyler, TX since I was a small child. The church family has become my family and they have all welcomed Mikey with open arms. So of course this is where we decided to get married. I currently work in the nursery but hope to start attending the nearly/newly married classes with Mikey as soon as he graduates college & can get a job where he doesn’t work on Sundays. The photographer that we chose is David James Photography he and his wife teach the nearly/newly married class at our church. He takes awesome pictures & I knew he was the one when I went in & the only thing he wanted to talk about was Mikey’s trucks ;) so I knew he was a keeper because Mikey would love him and I wasn’t surprised when he asked if we could use the trucks as props for our pictures & of course that won Mikey over. Haha. Our colors are Green and Ivory. The wedding is at 2PM on March 6th 2010 and please feel free to dress as you please!! Our families are just as laid back as us & you can’t fool us by putting on suits. We want you to be comfortable & yourself so please wear jeans, boots, T shirts or dresses or whatever you want, within reason, we just hope you can make it to share this day with us!!!

We will be flying out of Dallas the morning after our wedding. We are going to Cancun to a couples only resort called Sun Palace for 5 nights. We are very excited!! Thank you all for helping us to have our dream honeymoon!!
