Our Story

Our story begins as two people who fell in love after being good friends for three years. We attended Veterinary School at the University of Tennessee from 2000 to 2004. We started dating ten months before becoming doctors. During that time, we spent most our time studying to pass our boards. When we didnвЂ™t have our nose in the books, we enjoyed watching the VOLS, hanging out with friends, playing pool, and going out to eat. After graduation, we took our first jobs in Las Vegas, NV, where we learned how to become veterinarians and parents. We gave birth to Grace and remained in Las Vegas for the first ten months of her life. We moved to Charleston, SC in 2006. We currently reside in our home overlooking the marsh in West Ashley.

In April 2007, we began working together as associate veterinarians at Goose Creek Veterinary Clinic in Goose Creek, SC. We became engaged on July 19, 2008 and celebrated this event with dinner at MercatoвЂ™s, a romantic, Italian restaurant located in downtown Charleston. We enjoy raising our family including Grace, our beautiful, four-year old daughter, six cats and two dogs. We also enjoy cooking, watching movies, watching our favorite college football teams, going to concerts, and eating tiramisu. Our plans include buying a house in the Charleston area, building our veterinary practice, and adding to our family (just kids, no more animals).

Our Wedding

We plan to exchange our vows on May 17, 2009 at Folly Beach, South Carolina. A romantic, intimate ceremony will take place at 5:30 PM on the beach across the street from 1572 East Ashley Ave . The wedding party includes Irene Constantine, matron of honor; Steve Lerma, best man; Grace Constantine, flower girl. The wedding attire is semi-formal but we want everyone to be comfortable; So, feel free to bring some flip flops or go barefoot on the beach. The closest parking will be available in the public beach access located just past the beach house. (3-4 houses down beachfront.) This is also where we plan to access the beach for the ceremony. The beach access will be marked with an aqua ribbon. Any parking fees at the public lot will be prepaid. If this lot is full, there is parking on the road across from the lot as well as located next to the rocks (i.e. the wash-out) prior to the beach house. There will be a golf cart to transport our guests to and from the beach. We will update you with the weather as soon as it gets closer to the date. At this time, there is no official back-up plan for rain. If severe weather occurs, we will notify you with our alternate wedding location via email/ phone.

Our Reception

The reception will be held directly after the ceremony at the home at 1572 East Ashley Ave. It will take place from 6:30 until 9:30 PM. Food will be provided by Cru Catering. Music will be provided by Chris Crosby. An after-party downtown will conclude the night. We are planning to go to Wild Wings on the market (36 N. Market St.)
to hear Plane Jane. This is part of our greek tradition to continue the wedding celebration throughout the night. We look forward to celebrating this special day with our closest family and friends.
