Courtney Gagle & Chester Miles

Our Story

We met online through discovering we had common interests and goals in life. We decided to have our first date at a nice restaurant on a Tuesday night back in November of 2005. There was an instant connection and we had an amazing date that left us talking for seven hours. Even after the restaurant closed we sat in the parking lot talking and getting to know each other. Since that day we have been inseparable.

We were engaged on the evening of December 6, 2007. We both had class that night and were not getting home until 10pm. Chester was able to get home first and not being able to wait until Christmas he decided tonight would be the night. He purchased two dozen roses and sat them on a stool in front of the door. Once I came home from school I was supposed to open the door to him on one knee. However, I had my hands full and kept knocking on the door, so Chester stood up and let me in. Once I placed my things down, I could tell he had something else in mind other than the flowers, he had a huge smile on his face. He got down on one knee and opened up the box to my dream wedding ring and said those famous words “Will you marry me.” With a big smile on my face I said yes and we began our journey to beginning the rest of our lives together.

We have so much in common and are each others’ best friends. We can go to each other with anything and can count on one another for friendship and love. Together we enjoy spending time with friends and family, as well as time for just the two of us. Through the last few years we have done many things together, experienced new and exciting moments and activities and are looking forward to having so many more.

Our Wedding

As most of you already know Chester and I have decided to have a destination wedding. We will be getting married on the beach this April in Cancun, Mexico. We will be accompanied by each of our paretns only and will also be having our honeymoon at the same resort. We plan on having a small and romantic ceremony at sunset and we are more than excited for the big day!

Why we want to get married -

What I love about Chester is his huge heart. He is the most loveable and giving person I have ever met. He sees in me what sometimes I cannot see in myself. Through the 3 ВЅ years we have been together I have found my soul mate, my best friend and my rock. Chester has kept me strong through the hard times and has made me laugh when no one else could. He has strong values and goals in life and I admire him in every sense of the word. Chester is the man I see by my side 50 years from now, and I see him as an amazing husband, friend and father. The more time passes the more I love him, the more time we spend getting to know each other, the more I grow to adore him. He continues to take my breath away and continues to surprise me through his thoughtful gestures of love and friendship. The day I bring my life with his, will be the best day of my life.

What I love about Courtney is the way I can not stop looking into those perfect eyes. The smile I get from her even when I am not at my best. Love she gives when I am in need of comfort and the relentless will power she has to deal with me and mine. I love the way we can speak to each other with such ease, although some topics may be rough. I love her for the friend she is and the time she gives me to bask in her light. I love the fact that everyday with her my heart beats more for her. I know I have found the one that completes and fills the void of love that only a lifelong soul mate can do.

Our Reception

Immediately following the ceremony there will be a small reception at the resort with our parents. Once we return from Cancun we will be having an informal reception at Chester’s parent’s house. This will be an informal beach themed party with casual attire strongly suggested. At the open house we will be sharing videos and pictures from the wedding and the honeymoon. Snacks and drinks will be provided for everyone's enjoyment! We are hoping for this to be a fun and informal celebration of our wedding and we hope to see everyone there! Detailed invitations will be going out in April!

Travel Arrangements

We are very excited to be having our dream wedding; we both have always wanted to be married on the beach! We are aware that the location has made it hard for many of our friends and family to attend the wedding in Cancun. After much consideration we still decided to follow our hearts and to have the wedding that will remain in our hearts forever. However, the reception planned after our return is to involve everyone we love in celebrating our union. We look forward to seeing you there!
