Tony and I met in early 2002. I was taking some classes at the community college my senior year in high school and he was in his first year at the community college. I say we met in early 2002 because we had a class together and were probably introduced but didn't really pay attention to each other… until our teacher assigned us a group project and pulled our names out of a hat to be in the same group, It was fate!! Thank goodness too because being on the shy side when I meet new people, I would have never opened up unless I had to. Our first “official” date was on my 18th birthday, he took me dancing with some friends. We were both so incredibly nervous that we probably had two feet between us on the dance floor. The next day was the last day of class; we did our final presentation and were heading out. I walked out of the room, halfway down the hallway and realized I have no idea if I am ever going to have another class with him. I no longer have an excuse to call, Oh No!! I gathered up some courage, turned around walked back into the room and asked him if he wanted to go out to lunch. ( : I think lunch that day took about four hours engrossed in conversation. We didn't even realize how long it had been until I realized I was going to be late for work. From that day forward I wasn't going anywhere. Now ages 25 and 26 we definitely agree that the last 7 years together has been an adventure. We have had our triumphs and tribulations and realized that together we can do it all. We are so excited to be starting the new adventure of marriage!!
