Allison Maxa & Bryson Sellers

Our Story

Bryson and I met while I was visiting our mutual friend, Veronica. She was in the process of moving from Erie, PA to Myrtle Beach, SC. One day, Veronica, her sister Morgan, their cousin, Danielle and I were all hanging around at the Pavillion when we decided to meandor through the arcade. That is where I met Bryson. He says that he remembers what game he was playing when I walked in and he even remembers what I was wearing! We were introduced that day and we spent every second that we had together for the next two weeks. The last day that I was there, Bryson and I said goodbye to each other in the parking lot of the arcade where we first met. I didn't want to leave and I know that he didn't want me to go either. He said that he would call and I hoped that he would. * It was maybe two days later when the phone rang and my father told me that there was some guy named Bryson on the phone for me. I almost peed a little I was so excited! Bryson and I began having a long distance relationship and he even came and visited me shortly after that. Bryson went to boot camp for the Marine Corps and we stayed together through all of that. I even went to Parris Island with my mother to see him graduate. We stayed together for almost two years, but it became very hard for us to continue being so far away from each other. By this time, he was stationed in California, which was all the way across the country. Plus, I was still in high school. So, we decided that it was better if we ended it, even though we were very much in love with each other. * Well, years went by and we kind of stayed in touch. Bryson figured that I was mad at him for our breakup, but I understood why we couldn't stay together. We both led different lives...until one day he had contacted me when I was living in Nashville, TN. Bryson told me that he was flying through and had a layover at the airport and wanted to know if I could meet up with him for a drink. II was so nervous to see him after almost 12 years. When we met up, it was like we were never apart. It felt so great to see him again. When he had to get on that plane, both of our hearts broke. We both felt that we should be together, but at the time where we were at in our lives, it just wouldn't work. We kept in contact...we pretty much spoke to each other every day. * A couple months down the road, I lost my job in Nashville and since I had some time on my hands, Bryson told me that I should come to Beaufort to visit him. I thought it was a great idea! So, off I was to Beaufort. Well, the timing couldn't have been better. Things were going so great, that my weekend trip turned into a couple more days and then a return trip and then another trip and then he asked me to move in! We both couldn't have been happier.

Bryson and I have never stopped loving each other and we both believe that things happen for a reason. We were meant to be together, we just had to wait for the right time. After almost 14 years, Bryson and I are best friends and soul mates...as cheezy as that sounds :) We are so blessed to be able to be so much in love and to be able to spend the rest of our lives together.

Our Wedding

Our ceremony is going to be held at the beautiful and historic Beaufort Inn located in Beaufort, South Carolina.

The Honorable Ned Tupper will be officiating the ceremony in the Tabby Garden under a vine-covered arbor alter. The ceremony will begin at 5 pm and we will say our vows surrounded by family and friends.

Our Reception

After the ceremony, guests will be directed to enter the elegantly lit courtyard where they will be able to enjoy fruits and vegetables along with butler-passed hors d'oeuvres. During this time, the bridal party will be finishing up their photographs and guests will be able to mingle and relax prior to the reception.

After cocktail hour, friends and family will enter back into the Tabby Garden where they will be seated under a fabulous tent. The reception tent will be lit by candles and guests will be surrounded by hydrangeas, orchids and mini calla lilies while they enjoy a plated dinner. During the reception, our photographer, Sue Jarrett, will be snapping shots while everyone is dancing the night away with the Ramblin Coastal DJ, Steve Curless.

Our reception is supposed to be elegant yet very relaxed - not stuffy at all because we really want everyone to just let loose and have an amazing time!

A Special Message From Us

We are both so honored and thankful that we get to share this special time in our lives with our closest family and friends. We have both waited so long for this moment and are so excited that we are finally able (after almost 14 years!) to spend the rest of our lives together...
