We are very excited about our choice for our Honeymoon week.  It is on the tiny island of Isla Mujeres, just 13 km off the coast from Cancun. The island is some 7 kilometres and 650 metres wide. To the east is the Caribbean Sea with a strong surf and rocky coast, and to the west the skyline of Cancún can be seen across the clear waters. In the 2010 census, the namesake town on the island had a population of 12,642 inhabitants.

We have booked the resort, Privilege Aluxes, which is nestled right on the beach.  Our room will overlook the resort nd the beach, with our very own plunge pool on the terrace.  Here we will have the opportunity to enjoy peaceful relaxation, unless we choose to walk through the town to visit the authentic Mexican haunts.
