For those who know me, knows that I crave heights and I have been wanting to do the SkyJump since it opened in 2010.

!LIGHTBULB!

I thought what better way to celebrate our 5th year anniversary! I was sure David wouldn't mind the thrill since I've already taken him skydiving 3 years ago.

Anyway, we get to the Stratosphere for our evening SkyJump reservation. I remember David's bank declined his debit card (fraud protection) because we were "out of town." I told David we can re-schedule the jump tomorrow, it's no big deal. He says no, let's look around for an ATM. So we found an ATM and finally paid for both of our jumps.

A few minutes later we got called in to sign paperwork, get weighed, and to put on our jumpsuits. Then we head on to the long elevator ride up. By this time I do what I usually do when I am about to overcome heights: I keep calm to keep my heart rate normal and I put myself into the "mind over matter" mode. This is my way of not passing out or hyperventilating lolz!

We get to the top. David insist he jumps first. I watched him get checked 2x as they connect him to the cables. He jumped and he went down so fast I couldn't see him anymore.

Then it was my turn, after I was securely connected to the cables, I found myself standing on the plank all by myself. I was 829 ft high, I remember standing over the city lights of Vegas. It was beautiful. I closed my eyes, threw my arms out, and jumped!

It.was.awesome.

I finally get to the bottom, one of the guys that works there told me to stay put as he un-hooked me from the cables. So I am standing there by myself then I see David walk towards me. I noticed that he had already changed into his regular clothes. I was so high from the jump still and I had the biggest smile as I see him come closer to me. Then I noticed flashes from a distance, there were people taking pictures of us. I asked David, "what's going on?"

Then he got down on his knee and asked me to be his wife forever.

I cried.

I said "Yes!"

PS. As we walk back into the building so I can change back to my regular clothes, my family was there to surprise me.
