We originally met through Dylan, we were dating once upon a time if that's what you want to call a 12 year-olds dating life. Dan and I would talk everyday for hours on end he was a long distance friend, someone to confied in. One day we just stopped talking and grew apart, life stepped in.

Many years later I had just broken up with what I thought would be the only love in my life. I remembered back to when Dan could always cheer me up and how I missed that friendship we had. I searched everywhere for his email and just before giving up I found it. We started talking like we hadn't missed a day. All he could do was tell me how stupid the guy before was and try to cheer me up. We spoke one the phone for a week or two when we finally decided to meet at cactus fest, he planned to bring his friend kody to try and set up with my friend Monika. I had so much fun with him. We were like best friends all over again.

Earlier in the night Dan kept asking to go off on our own and leave kody and monika to get to know each other, however monika made it very clear she didn't want me taking off. So by now it was very late at night and we were waiting for the bus that would take AJ, Kody and Dan back home. When monika, kody and AJ were all talking Dan took me to the side.

He said "I really like you, and I was wondering if you would go with me?"

I said to him "No I can't." Clearly that confused him and he replied.

"No, I mean GOOOO with me."

"No I  can't I told monika I wouldn't leave her alone!"

Dan laughed. "I mean go out with me, date me!"

I laughed so hard but answered yes...eventually!
