He was working on a plan to start a business. Our mutual friend invited me to assist in the steps to take and what information was needed for a business plan and why one was so important to the success of a business. As he tells me, his "heart melted" and he insist and stands by this, that his soul "knew I was the one." He invited said mutual friend over so he could cook us dinner. He actually served us (with his friends present). We went on a few dinner dates here and there, we both enjoyed playing billiards; having intellectual debates together, read various versions of Bibles.

However, for various reasons, we traveled down different paths but we remained in touch as our birthdays were not far apart and we would wish each other a happy birthday or celebrate together on occasion, over several years. We built a frie-lationship through the years. On one hot summer evening, we 'had to talk!' We both realized that we had this constant desire to be with one another and the flame was getting hotter and hotter. We confessed that we both had a place in each others hearts and it could not be denied any longer.

We took the leap of faith, fought through the twists and turns and our feelings continued to increase for one another over the years. We finally committed to each other and became a couple on May 26, 2013. Soon after, we went on our first cruise together. We were blessed with the news that we were expecting and Keith's Son was on his way!

Our journey to parenthood was difficult, due to our youthfulness, and we were so excited to be parents, that God gave us a three month head start as Brian Junior (BJ) arrived three months early, weighing a whopping 1.7oz on February 14th, 2014; the day after his 19-years-older sister Destiny's birthday February 13 and 18-years-older sister Kennedy's birthday February 12.

I was in the process of trying to start my own temporary staffing services agency and while discussing with my friend, once interested she stated that she knew someone who could help with the business plan and would see if her friend could come to the next meeting.

The next week came and she attended the meeting with my friend. She immediately took control of the meeting and began lining up the tasks that needed to be completed and by who. She said everyone needed to have a resume, I needed the business purpose and objectives, goals (I could no longer hear the words coming out of her mouth). She had me there; with her brains and natural beauty. She made my heart melt. I had to have her!

I really didn't think I had a chance, but I had to try. After the meeting, I asked my friend to invite her over for dinner. She accepted! The menu: Fresh, broiled, shrimp scampi from Lousiana, 1-1/4 half-cut rib-eye cooked to her perfection with garlic-mashed potatoes and steamed broccolli. Now I sit, waiting for a reaction...........does she like it.....will I get another chance??? She appeared to enjoy it.

Well....I got another chance! We went out for her birthday to the Short North, ate dinner, had a couple drinks, I mean, alot of dranks. Went back to my place for a night cap and we found out that we were both virgooooo's!!!  :)
