We had gone to Jasper for my Math conference.  It was an up and down weekend as Damon had rolled his truck and had been in the hospital.  I was ready to race home, but he called and told me to stay, he was fine.  He also knew what was going to happen that weekend.  So I stayed.  On the secound day of the conference Wayne came and picked me up and I said, ``What are we going to do now boss?`` He told me we were going on a picnic.  He had spent the day preparing for this adventure.  He drove me up to Pyramid Lake and took me to s special spot on the beach.  when we got there, I saw a heart drawn in the sand with our intials in it in drift wood.  We sat, he poored the wine and we enjoyed some quiet time together.  He was getting really frustrated that tourists kept coming around and I kept telling him to relax.  He got up and went to the bathroom, when he got back he told me to stand up.  I asked why and he told me to just do it.  Out came the ring and I asked him if he was serious.  He relpied that of course he was.  I said yes!!!!!  I quickly put that ring on and got on my phone!  Later that night we met friends for supper and drinks.  Upon waking in the morning I found my ring finger completely swollen.  Wayne finally convinced me to go to the hospital.  I did and they cut off the ring I had been waiting for my whole life.  I cried so hard.  Luckily, our ring man fixed it up for us and it has not come off since!
