| | | | I don't remember exactly how Candace and I became close. We met in 2007 but she was just always "Tip's friend from Valdosta." And then one day about three or four years go, I looked up and realized that we were texting, on the phone, or just hanging out by ourselves. We didn't need Tip or any of the other Valdosta crew as a "buffer" for us to hang out. She went from "Tip's friend Candace" to "my friend Candace" and I was so happy to be able to claim her as MY friend.
Candace is one of those people that just lights up a room! She speaks and everyone listens because they know what she thinks and feels is important. I've always admired how bold and fearless Candace is! People say that your friends are a reflection of who you are but with Candace she's a reflection of who I want to one day be! I'm so blessed that she chose me to stand up there with her on the most important day of her life so far. I pray God continues to bless Candace and Tim for the rest of their lives! |

| | | Candace and I met back in 2006 at Valdosta State University. We were both a part of the Emerging Leaders Organization, and would soon both become nursing majors and line sisters in the most illustrious service organization, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. From day one, we have had a common love for enjoying life and making a difference. And till this day, we continue to do just that while supporting each other and creating memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. I love you Candace, and have had the pleasure of watching you bloom into such a beautiful, well-deserving, and honorable woman!! I am ecstatic that you chose me to share such a beautiful milestone in your life! No matter how near or far we are, you can always count on me to have your best interest at heart, keep it authentic, and always be in your corner!!! Tim is smart man and most importantly patient and true. He had the strength to see thru your shield and saw the beautiful gem that lay hidden. You both are so well deserving of each other and I look forward to the I-DOs!!!! Well that's enough for now, but just know I love you girl!!!! Now let’s TURN UP!!!

| | | Looking back in retrospect, I honestly cannot even tell you when Candace and I actually met...perhaps I was four years old and she was around two years of age. Our Grandmothers lived directly across the street from one another and because of the bond they shared as neighbors and friends, out of their loving foundation emerged two unique young girls bound together in times of joy, tears and most of all love. Candace and I became the very best of friends at a very young age playing together, learning together and growing together. Since our remarkable encounter in youth, we have grown to become not only friends but family. Although we have spent time apart as we both embarked on individual journeys in life, the foundation which was initially laid has always been there enabling us to support one another with love, kindness, strength and fortitude. So no, I don't actually remember meeting Candace because the bond in Sisterhood we share doesn't just merely exist, it was predestined. God has simply blessed me with the sister I have always longed for. And for that, I am truly grateful!
