Because of our different work schedules, we learned right away that it was nearly impossible to go out on a dinner date. For our first date, we went out for coffee and breakfast, and we really hit it off.

For our second date, we went for a walk in the park that is just down the hill from our house. We each took a cup of coffee, and we took the dog out for a morning stroll.

Since that date, its been a tradition of ours to always try and go for a walk with the dog when we can. It gives us a chance to enjoy the fresh air, and to just talk without any distractions.

The day he proposed, I mentioned to Ryan that it had been far too long since we'd been out for a walk in the park, and he suggested that we grab a fresh cup of coffee and head out to our usual trail.

After a walk through the just-changing leaves, when we got back to the footbridge at the beginning of the path, we let Sienna off her leash to run around and get some extra exercise. While I was watching her bound around, Ryan got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife!
