I decided to propose to Ana in California on August 15, 2016 for our week long vacation. I kept messing with Ana telling her we'd just kept dating forever. It worked because she never saw it coming.

So the idea was to propose at the Griffith Observatory around sunset. I told her that we were eating at a fancy restaurant. We were running late. Apparently the Greek theater is located next to this place and there was a concert going on at the time. Traffic was terrible and the sun was fading fast. So I began to get super nervous. It was already night and we are having a hard time finding parking. Finally about two miles away from the top of this mountain, we found parking.

I had bought some new shoes that were not broken in yet. Luckily Ana wasn't wearing heels as she would have killed me. We are hiking up this mountain and I'm supposed to be live streaming this for everyone on facebook when there is no internet. I kept touching the pocket where the ring was every 5 seconds. Heart pumping fast. It's very dark and I'm getting more nervous as we get to the top.

When we get to the top it was the most stunning view of lights from Downtown LA. I show Ana a video of us and sneaking a happy anniversar to throw her off. The video then shows me asking her father for his daughters hand in marriage. I drop to one knee and pop the question. I was on my knee for like two seconds and she says yes and starts tearing up. I hug her and kiss my newly made fiancé.

The return trip was somewhat of a pain. My buddy and I are trying to bring the cars up to pick everyone up. They tell us we can't drive back up. So the ladies walk halfway to where we can pick them up. Everyone's feet are tired, but well work the physical pain.
