Bride

I noticed Jeff at work one day when I was in line for breakfast and he was getting coffee. He joked with a one liner "Hugh gets what Hugh wants." Hugh is a coworker that is as old as our parents and Jeff did some work for him and he was thanking Jeff for doing a good job.

I thought, here is a handsome guy, looks my age, gets things done and knows when he needs to get them done... I wonder what his story is...

Before I knew what he did, I told my girlfriends at work and pointed him out - one said I think he is 25 (I was 31 at the time) and the other I think he's the janitor.. :)

I still thought well, there is something about him - there is a connection I hope I get to know him.

My main project at work at that time was a very large piece of equipment we bought from a vendor that needed some exhaust out of the building. I went over to the facilities area to talk to Jason (who I knew from previous projects) and told him my issue. While I was there he called for this same guy I had been admiring to come out of his office. He walked out, shook my hand, and said "Hi I am Jeff Carling." I thought FINALLY I know a name. Then I found out he was the facilities engineer and would be the one to help me with my project.

That same day we went out to scope my project and in one quick conversation about 5 minutes long we connected. He even in the first conversation said "how old are you anyways." I thought, you can't ask a girl that - then I told him that. He laughed but I wanted to know how old he was because remember my one friend thought he was 6 years younger than me. He told me his age and I was pleasantly surprised that he was a year older than me.

I also knew his name now, so I knew his email. I emailed him thanks for his work and one conversation led to another to another until he asked me something crazy.... (I will pass to Jeff).

I noticed Rima at work and I was instantly intrigue, something about her I liked.  I had actually noticed her speaking to my boss and I called him to ask what he knew about her.  He told me basic things that we all know about Rima, she is smart, has a good head on her shoulders, a thinker, oh and she wasn't married.  Once I found out she wasn't married I had to decide what to do, since we are at work and all, I need to find out more about her.

We then started working on a project toghether and I started asking questions trying to get to know her, I was totally impressed with her.  We started emailing, then texting back and fourth for a few days,

From Rima's story: I invited her on a fishing/camping trip, assuming there was no way she would go, afterall she barely knew me.  Well, she accepted the invitation shortly after and we went along with my two boys, Carter and Jack at that time 5 and 8.  I figured they were the reason she felt she could trust me enought to accept my invitation, I mean who could turn down Carter and Jack?  Well the trip went great, we went fishing, we held hands, I couldn't help I fell for her, she had me!

Just two weeks later I asked her if she would be my girlfriend, she said No, LOL, well we all know now she changed her mind!

Carter (10) and Jackson (7) are the most important people in my life, of course all my family is imortant but I'm happy to say Rima has joined the ranks of my boys in my eyes and I am very happy to have met her and have her infulence in my life and in my kids' life, they love her almost as much as I do, she makes me a better person and I am looking forward to the rest of my life with her.
