We appreciate you RSVP'ing as soon as you can, as we will need to keep our room block updated to ensure we get enough rooms. Please email us at:

azmcwedding@gmail.com

With the following information:

  • Number of attendees

  • Dates you are staying

  • If you want 2 doubles or 1 king bed

You need to book your room by May 22nd in order to receive the room block rates (which are cheaper than the sale prices they advertise on their website.)

Please use the following link when booking your rooms:

Room Block Info

Please note, if staying less than 7 nights, transportation to/from the airport is not included. You will need to purchase this additionally (I believe it is $20 round trip per person). When you have your flight information, you will need to email that to: transfercancun@moonpalaceresorts.com.

In order to book your transportation is necessary the below information:

1. Reservation Name

2. Total of Passengers

3. Hotel name and confirmation number

4. Arrival date

5. Arrival time and flight number

6. Departure date

7. Departure time and flight number

*In order to avoid any confusion, please send only the flight information to and from Cancun.

There are many direct and indirect flights from the DC area, as well as Houston, New York, Dallas, and throughout Florida. The best flight prices tend to be in the low- to mid-$300s, so if you see one in that range, I would book it (most airlines have a 24-hour cancellation policy).

We will be flying in on the 22nd of August, and leaving August 30th. Please feel free to join us for any or all of that week!

Some other "pro-tips" from our previous travels to Mexico--

  1. You need a passport for travel to Mexico. The passport also cannot expire within 6 months of when you travel. No special visa is needed to visit Mexico for US Citizens.

  2. Bring a pen on the plane. Flight attendants will bring around immigration forms before landing, however they almost never have pens.

  3. Keep the slip they give you at customs! They will give you a little piece of paper at customs. You need this to leave the country, so keep it with your passport.

  4. Consider checking a bag. Since you are limited in the amount of liquids you can put in your carry-on, consider checking a bag. That way, you don't have to spend the exorbitant mark-ups on sunscreen at the convenience store at the resort. Also, on the way home, Cancun has a very nice duty-free store in the airport, with some liquors (especially tequilas) you cannot get in the US. If you have a connection on the way home, you will need to check you bag after clearing US customs if you purchase liquor.

  5. Don't get a taxi/ride to the resort from someone inside the airport! There are people who will approach you inside the resort offering to give you a ride to your resort. Just keep walking until you get outside, where the official Moon Palace shuttle will be (if that option is included in your room package). If you did not purchase shuttle service, there is a taxi stand out there as well. The ride to the resort should take no longer than 15-20 minutes.

During your stay at the resort, we invite you to join us for a number of fun activities we are planning. These may include:

  • Xplor Adventure Park

  • Chitzen Itza or Tulum

  • Golf

  • Volleyball

  • Downtown Cancun bars/clubs

Once we guage interest levels, we will send out a full itinerary.
