We had gone out to dinner with some friends and came home and Nick told me he had something for me he had been wanting to give me For the Christmas tree.  He handed me a gift bag and inside was a big shiny star ornament..... That I looks at for a few seconds and looked at him and said "thank you" and then he was quiet and I turned it around and the ring caught my eye....  I got tears in my eye and a huge smile as he said to me "it'd make me really happy if you'd spend the rest of your life with me and be my wife
