On Saturday, March 1, 2014, they had a romantic dinner at Bruno’s and afterwards took a walk along the Valley Ranch Canal. Hector talked about how much he loved Cynthia and how happy he was with their life together. This went on for a while before they suddenly stopped at a set of steps near the water. He asked her to turn around and close her eyes. When she turned back around, Hector was on one knee with a ring and asked “Will you marry me?” She could not hold back the tears long enough to immediately respond. He had to ask her again “Cynthia, I’m not going to get up until you give me an answer!” She said “Yes, Oh my goodness, Yes!”
