We are not your typical couple. But, we do have one heck of a good story!

Our love started after circumstances beyond our control brought us together. Neither one of us can say that we thought our lives would become one. The timing of our encounter was unexpected to say the least. We can both say that getting to know each other has been wonderful. The love we inspire in each other is amazing. A great thing about our relationship is that we know each others virtues and flaws and have learned to accept each other as we are. The amount of struggles that we have had to endure around our relationship have made our love stronger. Always keeping each others happiness in mind at all times. We will continue to travel this life side by side and what better way to make it "official" than to unite our lives in the presence of the two individuals that lead our path, our children.

Isla Mujeres get ready for our wedding day! ******************************************************************************************************


Nosotros no somos su pareja tГ­pica. ВЎPero tenemos uno una muy buena historia! Nuestro relacion comenzo despuГ©s de que circunstancias ajenas a nuestra voluntad nos unieron. Ni uno de nosotros puede decir que pensamos que nuestras vidas algГєn dГ­a serian una. El tiempo de nuestro encuentro fue inesperado y podemos decir que habernos conocido ha sido maravilloso. El amor que inspiramos el uno al otro es asombrante. Una gran cosa acerca de nuestra relaciГіn es que conocemos cada una de las virtudes y desperfectos del otro y hemos aprendido a aceptaros tal y como somos. La cantidad luchas que hemos tenido que superar alrededor de nuestra relaciГіn, han hecho nuestro que nuestro amor se haga echo mГЎs fuerte. Siempre manteniendo el respeto y la felicidad de el otro en mente. Continuaremos viajando por esta vida, y que mejor manera de hacerlo "oficial" que unir nuestras vidas en la presencia de los dos individuos que dirigen nuestro sendero, nuestros niГ±os. We had a hard time deciding what to do for our special day. Finally we decided to take our vows in Isla Mujeres on the beach. The island is about 5 miles of white sand. Isla Mujeres is a short distance off the coast of the northeast Yucatan Peninsula on the Caribbean Sea. On the east is the Carribean Sea and on the west the skyline of Cancun is seen across the clear waters. Pre-Columbian times the island was sacred to the Mayan moon goddess, Ix Chel. When the Spanish arrived here in the 16th century they named it “Isla Mujeres” meaning “Island of Woman” because of the many cult images of the moon goddess. The big day! We will take our vows in Isla Mujeres in private serene setting, serenaded by soft waves lapping the shore as the sun goes down. The boys will stand by our sides as they are our witnesses. They will dress in cute white shirts, khaki pants and will be barefooted. Raul will stand next to me, mirroring their attire. I will wear a simple flowing dress and hold a bouquet that will add a splash of color to our day. It has been a real ordeal to plan this destination wedding, but the location makes it worth it!

Tuvimos dificultades decidiendo que hacer para celebrar nuestro dГ­a tan especial. Finalmente decidimos casarnos en Isla Mujeres por su belleza. La isla tiene acerca de 5 millas de la arena blanca y esta a una distancia corta de la costa de la PenГ­nsula noreste de YucatГЎn. Y al oeste el contorno de CancГєn es visto a travГ©s de las aguas claras. En los tiempos precolombinos la isla fue consagrada a la diosa maya de la luna, Ix Chel. CuГЎndo los espaГ±oles llegaron aquГ­, en el siglo XVI, ellos denominaron la isla como "Isla Mujeres" a causa de las imГЎgenes de la diosa de luna encontradas. !El gran dia! En Isla Mujeres tedremos un ceremonia privada. Serenada por las ondas suaves el la costa del mar, al atardecer. Nuestro niГ±os estarГЎn a nuestros lados puesto que ellos son nuestros testigos. Ellos vestirГЎn camisas blancas, pantalones cremas y estaran descalzos. Raul se pararГЎ a mГ­ lado, reflejando los trajes de los niГ±os. Yo, llevarГ© un vestido sencillo y tendrГ© un ramo de flores tropicales que agregarГЎn un salpicado del color a nuestro dГ­a. ВЎHa sido difГ­cil planear esta boda tan lejos, pero la ubicaciГіn vale!
